volume of Klee's notebooks. The spine of his Bauhaus
courses used to be supplied via the lecture notes contained in
'Contributions to a thought of Pictorial shape' that are here
published of their entirety. From greater than 2,500 pages of the
notebooks (consisting of memoranda, instructing projects,
constructive drawings, and sketches for his photographs) it has
been attainable to reconstruct extra classes of instruction.
Also incorporated are the 'Creative Credo', 'Ways of Nature
Study', the Jena lecture of 1924 and the essay' Exact
Experiments within the Realm of Art'.

The quantity encompasses a significant choice of over one
thousand drawings which illustrate the notes, to boot as
188 half-tone illustrations, 8 of those reproduced in complete colour.
