Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Büchern im Bereich der Verfahrenstechnik wird hier keine Einteilung nach mechanischer, thermischer und chemischer Verfahrenstechnik vorgenommen, sondern die physikalischen Grundlagen werden allgemein und damit übergreifend erläutert und können dann auf die jeweiligen spezifischen Anwendungen übernommen werden. Daher eignet sich dieses Buch auch hervorragend für diejenigen, die sich in ihrer beruflichen Praxis nicht tagtäglich mit den hier beschriebenen Problemstellungen beschäftigen.
