This policy covers Factory Redux, our game for iPhone, iPad and Android, and this website. We collect nothing about you. The game’s own code has no ads, analytics or tracking, and you have no account with us. On Android, Google’s Play Games service runs with the game and collects analytics and diagnostics of its own. The App Store or Google Play handles any pack you buy. While you are signed in to Game Center or Play Games, Apple or Google keeps your achievements.
Factory Redux, the game
Your progress stays on your device. The game keeps these on your phone or tablet: your progress (the days you have opened, your wages and your achievements), your settings (music, sound effects, vibration, and whether you have seen the tutorial and the rating prompt) and the packs you own. It sends none of it to us.
Buying packs. The Breakfast Shift, The Toy Workshop and Unlock all are in-app purchases. You buy them through the App Store on iPhone and iPad, and through Google Play on Android. Apple or Google takes the payment and keeps the record, under their own terms and privacy policies. The game never sees your payment details. Each time it starts, and when you tap Restore purchases in Settings, the game asks the store which packs you own. It keeps the answer on your device, so your packs open without a connection.
Achievements. On iPhone and iPad the game uses Apple’s Game Center, and on Android, Google’s Play Games. You sign in to them with your Apple or Google account, not with us. At start-up the game checks whether your device is already signed in. It shows a sign-in screen only when you tap the Game Center or Play Games button on the Achievements tab. While you are signed in, the game tells Game Center or Play Games which achievements you have earned, so they show there. If you are not signed in, the game sends no achievements and still shows them from your device. Apple and Google keep your achievements under their own privacy policies. On Android, Play Games starts with the game and collects its own analytics and diagnostics for Google, signed in or not. Deleting your data, below, gives the steps to delete your Play Games data. See Apple’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.
Ratings. Once, after you pass day 5, the game asks the App Store or Google Play to show its rating sheet. The store decides whether to show it and does not tell the game what you choose.
No ads, and no analytics or tracking of our own. The game shows no ads, and its own code does not measure how you play, sends no crash reports and contains no tracking code. On Android, Play Games collects analytics and diagnostics of its own for Google. There is no account with us: the only sign-ins are Apple’s and Google’s, for Game Center and Play Games.
What uses the internet. The game itself sends nothing to us. It goes online only to reach the App Store or Google Play (prices, purchases, restoring them and the rating sheet), Game Center or Play Games (your achievements, and on Android Play Games’ own analytics and diagnostics), and this website if you tap More games. The rest of the game works offline.
Vibration. On devices that support it, the game gives small taps of vibration as you play. You can turn this off in the game’s Settings. It uses no data.
Our link. The game’s More games button asks you first, then opens this website in a browser, where the website section below applies.
Backups. Your phone’s own backup (Google’s on Android, iCloud on iPhone and iPad) may include the game’s saved progress, depending on your settings. That backup belongs to your account with Google or Apple, and we never see it.
The app stores. Google Play and the App Store handle downloads and purchases under their own privacy policies.
Children. The game’s own code collects no personal information from anyone, children included. Purchases go through the stores, so their parental controls, such as Apple’s Ask to Buy, apply.
Deleting your data
Keep Smiling Games holds no data about Factory Redux players, so we have nothing of yours to delete. Your game data is on your device or with Google or Apple, and you delete it there. Questions go to [email protected].
Play Games, on Android. Google keeps your Play Games profile (your gamer name) linked to Factory Redux, the achievements you unlocked and the analytics and diagnostics Play Games collects. Factory Redux keeps its own copy of your achievements and sends them to Play Games again the next time it signs in, so delete the game before you delete its Play Games data.
On the web, go to play.google.com/games/profile, click Your Data, then Delete Play Games Account & Data. Find Factory Redux under Delete individual game data and click Delete. In the Play Store app, tap your profile icon, then Settings, General, Play Games Profile and Privacy & Settings. Under Your Data, tap Delete profile & game data, then delete Factory Redux the same way.
That removes Factory Redux and its achievements from your Play Games profile. The same page can delete your whole Play Games profile and all the games data Google collected with it. Google’s help page has the steps: Delete your Play Games data or Play Games profile.
Game Center, on iPhone and iPad. Apple keeps your Factory Redux achievements with your Apple Account for as long as you have the account, as its Game Center & Privacy page says. At privacy.apple.com you can get a copy of that data, or delete your Apple Account and the data that goes with it.
The game’s own data stays on your device: your progress, achievements, settings and the packs you own. Reset progress in the game’s Settings clears your opened days and wages, and keeps your achievements, settings and packs. Deleting the game removes everything it kept, though your phone’s backup may hold a copy until you delete it there. Your purchases stay with your App Store or Google Play account, and Restore purchases brings them back.
This website
No cookies, analytics or ads. The site is plain pages that set no cookies and run no analytics or advertising.
Hosting. We serve the site through Cloudflare. Our server and Cloudflare see your IP address and the pages you ask for, and we use those technical logs only to keep the site running.
Fonts. The site’s fonts come from Google Fonts, so your browser fetches them from Google, which sees your IP address. See Google’s privacy policy.
The Flash games. Our 2008–2012 Flash games play in your browser through Ruffle, a Flash player. The game pages load Ruffle from unpkg.com, a public code host, which sees your IP address. Some of the games save your progress or scores in your browser’s local storage. That data stays in your browser, and you remove it by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
We built the Flash games with code from MochiMedia, a games network that closed in 2014. A game may still try to reach MochiMedia’s old web addresses. We do not control who runs those addresses today, and a request to them would show your IP address to whoever does.
