Where to play
Factory Redux is for iPhone and iPad, and for Android phones and tablets. It plays in landscape. A Steam version is coming later.
Buying packs
What can I buy?
You can buy two packs of new days, The Breakfast Shift and The Toy Workshop. Unlock all opens every pack, including the ones still to come. You pay once for each, and it stays yours. The rest of the game is free, with no ads.
How do I buy a pack?
Tap Levels on the title screen, then Unlock on the pack’s card, or the Unlock all banner. The App Store or Google Play takes the payment, and the game never sees your payment details.
How do I get my packs back on a new phone or tablet, or after reinstalling?
Sign in to the store with the Apple or Google account you bought them with. Then open Settings from the gear on the title screen and tap Restore purchases. The game also asks the store which packs you own each time it starts.
I bought a pack, but it didn’t unlock.
If the game said “Payment pending”, the pack unlocks when your payment clears: some Google Play payment methods take a while, and Apple’s Ask to Buy waits for a parent to approve it. Otherwise, check that you are online and signed in to the store with the account you bought it with, then close and reopen the game, or tap Restore purchases in Settings. If the pack is still locked, email us with the date of the purchase and the order number from the store’s receipt.
How do I get a refund?
The stores handle refunds: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, and Google Play from your order history.
Achievements
Where are my achievements?
Tap Scores on the title screen and open the Achievements tab. You earn them on your device, so they work offline too.
How do I see them in Game Center or Play Games?
Tap the Game Center button (on iPhone and iPad) or the Play Games button (on Android) on the Achievements tab. If you are not signed in, Apple’s or Google’s own sign-in screen comes first. The next time you are signed in, the game sends the achievements you earned while signed out.
Common questions
Where is my progress saved?
On your device. There is no account with us, so your progress does not move from one device to another. Your packs do: see Buying packs above.
I deleted the game. Can I get my progress back?
Deleting the game deletes its saved progress, and we have no copy of it. If your phone’s own backup (Google’s on Android, iCloud on iPhone and iPad) included the game, restoring that backup may bring your progress back. The store keeps your packs, and Restore purchases brings them back.
How do I start again from the first day?
Open Settings from the gear on the title screen and choose Reset progress. This clears your wages and opened days for good. Your packs and achievements stay.
How do I turn off the music, sound effects or vibration?
All three have a switch in Settings, behind the gear on the title screen.
Is there a tutorial?
Yes. The game offers it the first time you play, and you can replay it from the title screen at any time.
Does the game have ads?
No. Factory Redux is free, and the packs are optional in-app purchases.
Is this the Flash game from 2009?
It’s a remake, rebuilt for phones and tablets with new art. You can still play the 2009 original on this site.
What does the game do with my data?
We collect none. Purchases go through the App Store or Google Play, and achievements through Game Center or Play Games. Our privacy policy has the details.
